Crunchula is an amazing (and very yucky) character, well done making us strongly dislike him Troy!

Delete that shit, D. It's not interference, it's an intervention. Great stuff, Troy.

Love the title, that in itself pulled me in; great move, deleting that message, even though I would never dare to do so myself, it just had to be done...poor Lamb.💛

I’m gonna say the same thing lots of people in the comments have already said — hooray for the delete!

Your descriptions of Count were so good for capturing the essence of those old shady/cooked dudes that appear at party’s with people half their age.

Loving this story, Troy. At the start, I felt I was moving between reality and fiction. Really enjoy that effect and the metafictional layers it creates.

As others have said, the ending is great! Begs for more. 🌟 💙

The smartest hitting of DELETE of a message ever! Phew. Relief.

So good. So real. Such flow. It's a wonderful piece of fiction, Troy.

oh and PS, I had to Google cornrows. Now I know the actual name for this hairstyle.

Good on your narrator deleting Count Crunchula from Lamb’s existence. What a tragedy that all he brought home with him from his Burning Man adventure was that strange man. I went to BM in 2003 and spent most of my days (and nights) biking from dance party to dance party. I was sans drugs, the starlit bike rides across the playa enough to keep me feeling pretty good to be alive.

What a character. You paint such a vivid portrait of the count I feel like he’s a real person from my past that I’d like to forget. And poor lamb is such a dope! God help him, things are not going to end well, I fear.

Never known relief like those four final words of the chapter gave! Also feeling mighty relieved that ecstasy is no longer a hobby. That said, I'd have liked the chance to drop a tab or four with Lamb 🧡

I would have probably climbed on top of Lamb too and forced him to work out with me on top of him but I have my front teeth!

You really capture the loneliness that Lamb feels even though he's surrounded by people and all this craziness....

Thank you, D, for deleting the message! Made my heart that longs to protect Lamb feel good. :)
