My favorite ambiguous movie ending is “Lost in Translation,” also one of my favorite movies.

Thank you, Troy. First I've heard of the UpStairs massacre.

In my last comment the word “continuing” was changed to “confusing” and later “increasingly” changed to “unceasingly”. Is this some sort of new-fangled AI spellcheck!?! That said, I do like the word “unceasingly”. 😅

Happy birthday to the hubby!! 🎉

Forty'leven. A fine age to be. And a fine word, it rolls off the tongue with a pleasing lilt.

I will confess my ignorance to the tragic fire. Truly awful. But thank you for raising awareness.

Re: euro. A real staple of my childhood in the UK. Terry Wogan's commentary. England always scoring Nil pwah.

Me too ( no hashtag) in no particular order. Happy Birthday ( again) to your very charming hubby. While it’s a ways off, 60’leven gives raise to the hope of one more year in a way-too-fast decade. No, I had never heard of the Upstairs Lounge attack. Orlando comes to mind. Someday we’ll finish our chat about the confusing relevance of Queer Celebrations ( aka Pride). Never been a fan of Eurovision but admit that I’m unceasingly perceiving it as something to be consumed in the company of other festive types.

Wow, The Nation piece is an intense read, I had no idea that took place, thank you for speaking to it.

I wish your husband a beautiful birthday, and I’m so sorry to hear that he keeps mispronouncing his age, but many happy returns nonetheless.

I’m almost too embarrassed to admit that I didn’t know Celine did Eurovision (and won!) but thank goodness I do now!

Happy birthday! And thank you for reminding me of a "must-see" corny piece of TV watching during my entire childhood and teen years! Europeans love to bash the Eurovision show but take a perverse pleasure in watching it! And I love Lost City of Z...

Thanks for sharing the story about the tragic New Orleans fire. I was unaware. It's so important to remember the darker pages of our history. Y'all have an amazing celebration together!

You must have a really dreamy and charming husband! Happy birthday to him. I am sure no matter how he pronounces forty'leven that it is filled with charm and overflowing with cuteness.

Happy birthday to your husband, dear Troy! Have a fantastic celebration. I hope one day we can all live in peace and joy and safety. It is cool you follow Eurovision. I used to watch it all the time, but then I wasn't so much a fan of the direction of the music. But maybe it's becoming better again? My one sadness is that they eliminated Russia. And I get why, I do, but it's not the people's fault in Russia, they shouldn't be punished for this. But I get it on an emotional level. Ukrainian/Russian in me is very conflicted about this though overall. Also Serduchka, omg, love Serduchka.
