If anyone is interested, I created a similar group a few months ago on LinkedIn! I was very inspired by Claire Venusā dedicated and support LinkedIn group for substack writers to introduce themselves and share their work so that we could support one another and I thought it would be fun to create a space like that for LGBTQIA+ writers and creatives!! Even if (or when) Substack creates an LGBTQ category, it would still be challenging to source queer writers who don't write about queer topics. (Although Iāve written about queer composers like Tchaikovsky and Benjamin Britten, my Substack on melancholy music wouldn't ever fall into a queer category here.) This makes a directory even more important!
